This woman! In Varkala I met Sabrina and her boyfriend Jens , from The Hague. After traveling together for 4 weeks we said goodbye three days ago. Hanging out and connecting with people for more than just a few days is the best thing about life and maybe even more so when you’re travling. But, after almost 11 months of traveling I am a bit tired of having to put in effort to meeting new people and making new friends every time I’m moving places. Me and Sabrina hit it of from day one, connecting over our love for the books of Jan Geurtz. We stayed at Amma’s ashram ( where I took this portrait) for over a week, spending a lot of time together, mostly just sitting, drinking coffee and talking, a lot. It came to the point where people in the ashram started referring to me as Sabrina’s ‘significant other’. It was obviously time to leave and meet up with Sabrina’s boyfriend again. After the Ashram we traveled up to Goa and reunited with Jens . The three of us shared double rooms and huts to save money so me being their kid and they being mum and dad became the running gag. I think Jens had a tough time now and then having to deal with two women 24/7
