I met Lisette somewhere in 2011, we started out working together, as a fashion photographer and stylist team basically. Almost from the beginning I turned my camera on her and over time we became really close friends. I have been taking pictures of her for the past 5 years now and besides the obvious changes in Lisette's appearance I feel all these images together show so much more. We helped eachother out during both our graduation projects. I see us becoming closer, a friendship growing more intimate, I see myself maturing as a photographer, from a fashion photographer to a portrait and documentary photographer. I witnessed and documented Lisette becoming the critical performance artist she is today, her transformation from a stylist and fashion student to not only creating interessesting performances but in the process becoming a work of art herself. Scrolling down, all these photo's are a mix of digital, analogue and polaroid work from 2011-2016. All are my photographs but not all my work in a way, some are Lisette's, because it's what's left of her performances after they ended.
